Peter Crouch will be banned for England's next Euro 2008 qualifier against Israel in September.
Crouch scored England's second goal in Wednesday night's 3-0 win over Estonia but picked up a needless booking late on, his second of the Group E phase.
The gangly goal-getter believed England's performance in Tallinn warranted praise after what has been a difficult campaign.
He told Sky Sports: "We worked so hard in the first half and we thought our quality would show and eventually it did. We scored fantastic goals.
"They were a difficult team to beat. They defend well, so the boys deserve credit.
"To finish (the season) strongly is really pleasing."
The Reds frontman admitted he benefited from the deliveries of the likes of David Beckham, saying: "For me it's a dream... when you've got wingers on either side who like to get the ball in - you know what Becks can do.
"I was really pleased (with the goal) - you know Becks' delivery is first class. I'm really pleased to score for England."
England do not have any qualification games until September when they host Israel at Wembley and Crouch admitted it was imperative to finish the season with victory.
"Everyone is buzzing," he added. "It's the last game of the season - no-one wants to finish on a downer. It's job done."
