Euro 2008 qual. - England boss Steve McClaren spoke of his delight with the performance of David Beckham in his competitive return for England.
Beckham set up two goals in England's 3-0 win over Estonia in Tallinn with trademark crosses that were converted by Peter Crouch and Michael Owen.
It was his first competitive match in an England shirt since being publicly dropped by McClaren after the World Cup last year, and after turning in a man-of-the-match performance in the friendly against Brazil on Friday night he did the same again despite picking up an ankle injury early on.
"David Beckham knows how to play that position [on the right of midfield] and he'll teach everybody else how to play there," McClaren told SkySports after the match.
"His delivery is second to none from those positions."
Beckham turned his left ankle during the first half and looked set to come off when he appeared to be moving with difficulty. But he stayed on and that decision helped England to win the match, something McClaren says was not taken lightly given Real Madrid's crucial run-in over the next few weeks.
"He wants to stay on, he wants to finish games," the former Middlesbrough boss said of Beckham.
"We spoke to him at half-time and decided that if we got the second or third he'd come off. As he's the only one with games coming up we then took him off."
There is continued speculation as to whether Beckham will be able to feature in the rest of England's Euro 2008 qualification campaign, both in terms of the travel from the West Coast of the United States and the lower level of football in the MLS. But McClaren would not be drawn on whether the former England captain would be in the squad for the next match - October's trip to Russia.
"I think [Beckham] answered everybody with his performance in the last two games," he continued of the Real star.
"Will he be in the next squad? We'll see."
Another plus point for England was the performance - and goal - of fit-again Newcastle striker Michael Owen.
"It's so important when you're coming back from injury," McClaren said when praising Owen's game.
"But his work rate was phenomenal, coming back from deep.
"We've looked like a team over the last two performances. It's in our hands, and if we win the games we'll to qualify."
