Blackpool new-boy Marlon Broomes admits he has been hugely impressed with Simon Grayson's managerial achievements at Bloomfield Road. After taking the helm during the 2005-06 season, Grayson saved the Seasiders from relegation and guided them to promotion 12 months later.
He kept them in the Championship in the season just ended and Broomes, who has signed a one-year deal following his release from Stoke, is a confirmed admirer of his new boss.
Broomes said: "Since Simon Grayson took over at Blackpool he's done a fantastic job.
"I know when he first took charge they were struggling against relegation in League One but he's turned the whole club around.
"He kept them up and then got them promoted to the Championship, so I've been very impressed with what he has achieved in a relatively short space of time."
