Morris pens new Orient contract

Fri 06 Jun, 05:45 PM

Leyton Orient goalkeeper Glenn Morris has committed his future to the club and signed a new two-year contract at Brisbane Road. The 24-year-old youth-team graduate took over as first-choice keeper from Stuart Nelson towards the end of last season and has been rewarded for his efforts with the new deal.

"We have given him the number one jersey and that is fully deserved after the way he played when he got his chance," said Os boss Martin Ling.

"He was last number one four years ago and he's had to wait for his chance, but I feel he's matured as a goalkeeper over that time and, at 24, he's ready for the challenge."

Ling is still waiting on a contract decision from midfielder Paul Terry.
