Preston chairman Derek Shaw has pleaded with fans to aid manager Alan Irvine's spending power in the transfer market by buying a season ticket.North End's board of directors are keen to support Irvine's attempts to strengthen his squad during the summer, but they are relying on bringing in revenue from season-ticket sales.
"It is very important for the manager that we raise as much cash as we can to support him to the best of our ability," Shaw told the Lancashire Evening Post.
"We are pleased with how sales have gone so far.
"Obviously the more the merrier, because it does make a big difference."
