Eurosport-Yahoo! readers believe Chelsea have made a mistake in appointing Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager.
Ancelotti was confirmed as caretaker manager Guus Hiddink's successor on Tuesday and we asked you whether he was the right man to lead Chelsea forward.
But, at the time of writing, 57 per cent of voters (14,185) said the former Milan and Juventus manager was the wrong appointment.
Forty-three per cent (10,890) have faith in Ancelotti, however, perhaps on the basis of his two Champions League triumphs at the San Siro.
Ancelotti led Milan to the Serie A title in 2004 and Champions League glory in 2003 and 2007.

You all need to get off Abramovic, he has paid good money to bring great talent to the club and you need to a GREAT manager to lead, Jose gave you that but he forgot who the Boss was. As for Grant and Scolari, when you have a team that loaded with STARS and you can't keep everyone focused and hungry that's is why they are not with Chelsea anymore. As for Ancelotti, I am not sure if he is the right guy, with star-studded Milan where have finished in the last two years? So how is he going to make an impact at Chelsea?
As for people whinging about smokers, you do know William Gallas smoked throughout his glorious stay at Stamford Bridge right? Sure it doesn't do wonders for your stamina, but I get through 25/30 a day, and still last 90 minutes twice a week as a left winger, so get your facts straight!
Despite what my be his faults though (like only getting a world class squad into the Uefa Cup, now poorly renamed The Europa League) - I don't mind having Ancelotti as our gaffer, as long as the powers that be realise that a manager needs AT LEAST 3 years to make his mark properly on a squad and get them playing his style of football (unless you're Pep Guardiola that is)
I'm still trying to get my head around why we got rid of Avram, let alone the Scolari fiasco, and Guus if you're reading this 5 words "We want you to sign"... Anyway Ancelotti, great manager he may be, but no what Chelsea need. We need a disciplinarian, a motivator and someone with an eye for a bargain - 3 things even he will admit he ain't. Two things in the transfer department that are already doing my head in also:
1) Bosingwa out - Johnson in... even a Blue Square manager or owner knows thats is bad business
2) Ben Sahar possibly going for under a million?!? Loan him out for a couple more years, he'll be worth at least £5million and might be worth holding onto at that stage with our ageing strikers hitting their post-prime
theres only 1 man for the job guussssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
nibirufc, you are one sad @#$%. sr.melvin you are an even sadder @#$%. are you two related to donald twatintyre as you all sound similar and talk @#$%. i am still laughing at the comment HEAD HUNTERS RUNNING THROUGH CITY CENTRE STREETS AT AWAY MATCHES, SLASHING INNOCENT PEOPLES BACKS WITH DOUBLE RAZOR BLADES, ha ha how do you find time to make up this rubbish, by the way tooting is south of the river you muppet get it right or shut the f**k up.
rubbish article...who the heck are ya all to judge him now?he hasnt showed you what he can co with the blues!!! dont judge the book by it's cover!ac milan is a diff team from chelsea and so is the italian league from the premiership.all you doubt the man are losers, who the hell do you think ya are?have you ever managed a big club in your life?and when the time comes when he starts winning you'll juts gonna change your side and say i told ya he was good for the blues.what a crock of cow manure ya all are!!!
I am a chelsea fan but i think ancelotti is wrong for one reason is because ac milan have so many great players yet they only qualified for the Uefa cup this season
These votes are a crock; anti chelsea fans vote against just to stir it . . . like me!
I've been a Chelsea fan since the era of Raineri. When Raineri came, he had time to build a team. The likes of J.T, Lamp etc were built by him. The Special One came and consolidated on that. What we need is continuity. As long as I'm concerned, Anceloti is good. Our big man (Abram) should give him time and forget about this win Champions league or go. For me, Anceloti is the RIGHT ONE.
i believe the best coach since abramovich bought Chelsea was Ranieri, come on,nobody remembers ? in his first and only season in charge,he created a strong base for a team with a future, with Lampard,Terry and more.Took Chelsea second to an unbeaten Arsenal side, but actually the only team to have not been beaten by Arsenal that year,on the contrary,he pushed Arsenal out of tha Champion'League and reached the semis, all that in one season ??? that guy was great,i'm sorry,Mourinho was the guy with the results of course, but taking over a team already formed and super performing, with only few ad ons that only one,no two are worth mentionning,Drogba and Carvallho
have faith in the man maybe he will do well
y are the so many scumy glory hunter man u fans ever wondered maybe cos their not good at football themselves
Regards to the appointment of Ancelotti I’ve been a Chelsea fan for forty years and the biggest problem we have is that we don’t seem to have any continuity. We need a settled team and manager if we’re going to win the champions league and get back the premiership. It has worked for man united and Arsenal they dominated the premier league when it first started. I think the problem we have is the owner, he doesn’t seem to want to keep a manager and give him the chance. What was wrong with Steve Clarke? Who had been there as a player and manager for 20 years no wonder he left. Since we’ve had Guss Hiddink he has transformed our under achievers i.e. Malouda the last 22 games has proved this. Now there is talk of people like Malouda being sold you need to have a settled team and manager if we are going to start winning trophies again.
as a man utd fan i think abramovich should have swallowed his pride and brought back mourinho. he was good for the english premier league. but still give ancelotti a chance. he has a pretty good record.
WHENEVER A CLUB WANTS TO SIGN A COACH OR PLAYER WHY NOT JUST SIGN HIM ON.WHAT IS THE POINT OF ALL THE SPECUALTION AND MEDIA FRENZY.ANCELLOTTI DENYING THE MOVE SO WAS CHELSEA.NOW HE IS HERE WHY ALL THE MEDIA FRENZY IN THE FIRST PLACE
What is really worrying at the moment is that abram's cheque book is open again and zero of these "special players" are willing to join no matter the money that's offered ancelotti I can't see bringing anything to Chelsea not even that player we so desperately need
Ancelotti's appointment is as dramatic as Mourinho's, and in terms of game style this change makes it more relevant than any of the recent ones. Ancelotti's style relies on combinations, his team will be attacking most of the time and will provide enterteining games. This is a big change in substance relative to Mourinho, for example, who tried to get some of the best players available and put enough pressure on them to deliver. If Ancelotti's integration at Chelsea will succeed (and I have no idea whether it will or not), his team will win both the English and European titles.
smokes to much , another mistake
Odds he doesn't make the end of the season
Only time will tell....Thats what they said about Scolari and Mourinho...
