Deco Makes Lampard Plea

New Chelsea signing Deco has urged Frank Lampard to snub a move to Inter Milan.

Portugal international Deco, 30, who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Barcelona in an £8million deal last week, is confident the pair would link up well in the Blues midfield.

He told The People: "I think I can be compatible with Lampard on the pitch.

"That is, of course, something that the trainer has to decide - he is in charge. But I have seen a lot of Chelsea games on TV, and together Frank and I can create a lot of danger for other teams."

  1. Meh, you can have Lampard, Xavi is much better. Of course, he's in La Liga, but in England, Gerrard is heaps better than Frank.

  8. Lampard is not in the same class as Ballack and Deco. If he wants to go, Chelsea should encourage him. If you calculate his strike rate as a percentage of goals scored out of total opportunities he had, Lampard will get a percentage lower than 10%.

    Every times he kicks, it looks like he is trying to launch a satellite!

    If he trains with the special one with other style of players, England will benefit. Perhaps they will qualify for the next Euro cup.

Lets pray the combination of Lampard & Deco works because these are two midfielders who plays the same role in the pitch.Personally as a BLUE fan,am just confused for the moment because i've really not understand Scolari's intention as far as the midfield is concerned.Lampard,Balack,Essien,Makalele,John Obi Mikel & now Deco.
    Well,lets keep our fingers crossed till the kicks off.

  16. lampard will go this season if he does not sign a new contact as he can walk away next season. that why the special one said he will be in italy. chelsea need a striker when drog goes so why they have to have 10 world class player in mid field i don"t know. they have so many player who could walk in to any team and they just buy buy buy and sack good mangers. im a arsenal fan and i would have loved to have been in chelsea shoe on the last day of the season / cham/ league.

  19. i don't think anyone can play with lampard. he sucks. he is not even a good defensive player. makalele and essien stand out far more than him in that defensive role. and if he is supposed to be a creative player playing that offensive mid, well that tells u why chelsea play @#$% soccer. if abramovich really wants to play attractive soccer, get rid of lamp and joe cole. he has a shot from far out and somehow manges to score a goal every time. if he goes to inter he will not play over viera stankovic figo etc. y do they buy kallou and obi if they r not going to play them. they are the ones that play attractive football not lampard. i dont know who is worse him or gerrard.
