La Liga - Ronaldo passes Real medical

Cristiano Ronaldo has successfully completed his medical with Real Madrid.

Ronaldo landed at Madrid airport just after midday on Monday before heading to the Hospital Sanitas La Moraleja for his medical as he puts the finishing touches on his world-record £80 million move from Manchester United.

The 24-year-old has agreed a six-year contract with Madrid.

Carlos Diez, Real Madrid's medical chief, told the club's website: "(Ronaldo) is in perfect condition and very eager to start the season as soon as possible."

Ronaldo, the reigning FIFA World Player of the Year, will be the third new signing presented by Madrid since Florentino Perez returned to the club presidency at the start of June.

Brazil star Kaka, who cost a reported £56m from Milan, was unveiled in front of around 55,000 people at the Bernabeu last Tuesday while Spain international Raul Albiol was presented on Thursday following his move from Valencia.

Madrid have also agreed a deal with Lyon for their striker Karim Benzema for an initial fee of £30m, a transfer that takes the Spanish giants' summer spending close to the £200m mark.

Man U have­ not replaced Ronaldo, Valencia only scored 3 goals last­ season and will be lucky to break 5 goals next season.­ Ronaldo is now surrounded by more world class players­ than he was at Man U, he will do fine in La Liga. Also­ Man U will not dominate world football, take the 2 - 0­ spanking by Barcelona as an obvious fact of this.

Ronaldo only won­ world footballer of the year because he is surrounded­ by world class players and is coached by the worlds­ best coach (past and present). Without Man Utd behind­ him he is nothing. Madrid are a team of nobodies and­ that is why none of their current squad would get in­ Man Utd's first team. Ronaldo will be lucky to­ score ten goals this season and they will be from the­ penalty spot. We sold Ronaldo for 80 million and­ replaced him for 15 million. I guess when your coach is­ that good at business it is not surprising that Man Utd­ are the world champions. Like I said earlier we will­ continue to dominate world football and Ronaldo will­ win nothing.
