Manchester City manager Mark Hughes has lined up a friendly against 1860 Munich during their training camp in Germany.

The squad headed off on Monday after getting together on Saturday with Craig Bellamy back in the picture.

The Wales striker is aiming to build up his stamina after missing the last eight matches of the season because of a knee injury.

Hughes told the club`s official website: "There is a lot of science behind what we are trying to achieve on the fitness front.

"Everything is geared up for us to be the best the players can be on the first day of the season at Blackburn.

"We want to hit the ground running because this is an important year for us."
