New Charlton signing Miguel Angel Llera had to leave MK Dons because he didn't feel valued by the club.

Llera was disappointed not to be offered a new deal by the Dons until after their play-off semi-final loss to Scunthorpe.

That made up the Spaniard's mind to search for a new club and eventually led to him signing for the Addicks.

The defender rejected offers from Norwich, Doncaster and Scunthorpe for the opportunity at The Valley and told the South London Press: "I left MK Dons for a simple reason - they did not value my ability."
