Port Vale striker Marc Richards insists his only focus is doing well for Vale this season despite having just 12 months left on his contract.
An Achilles injury curtailed his season in March but the 27-year-old still finished as Vale`s top scorer, with 11 goals.
Richards, who turned down a £100,000 move to Cheltenham at the start of last season, is now focused solely on regaining his form for Vale, rather than fretting about his contract.
"This year I'm just going to concentrate on staying fit and playing as many games as possible," he told the Sentinel. "I know I have a year to prove myself, add some goals to my tally and prove I can score goals at this level, which know I can do.
"I've had a bit of bad luck with injuries in the last couple of seasons, although I'm not making excuses. So hopefully I can stay fit and score some goals.
"I'm not going to look at my future until the end of the season."
