Prospective new Darlington chairman Raj Singh has pledged to cut ticket prices at the League Two club in order to boost attendances.
Singh, who is currently in the process of taking over the club, has cut costs for the coming season and also promised the first 1,500 season ticket holders who purchase a ticket that they will enjoy the same price freeze for three seasons.
He said: "Freezing prices was the most realistic option all-round. We recognise the climate we're currently in, and we want to make football as affordable as we possibly can.
"But our fans understand the club's situation as well, and I'm sure they recognise that we have a business to run.
"Everyone knows that season ticket sales are absolutely crucial to the club's cash flow, and to enable us to plan for the coming season, so we're urging our fans to buy their season tickets as soon as possible to help the club.
"As I've previously stated, we're trying to restructure the club so that we don't get into the same kind of mess we're currently getting ourselves out of right now.
"That covers a lot of behind-the-scenes areas, like the way our matchday hospitality is run, but on the face of it ticket sales is the most important and obvious revenue stream, which is why it's so important for everyone to get behind us.
"Our fans have heard enough rallying causes to last them a lifetime, but this is new to us and that's why we've introduced the three-year loyalty scheme, which means show me your loyalty now and you'll be rewarded with the same prices for three seasons."

Briliant idea, but us fans have been asking for cheaper tickets for ages. It is more likely that you will get more bums on seats, with cheap tickets, but then what do those extra paying punters do when inside the ground. There are the bars and club shop, programmes, even those people may well book an event in the hospitality suites around the ground, thus, bringing more income into the club. Doen't take a anyone with half a brain to work that 1 out!!!!
