Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell has dismissed rumours suggesting Michael Tonge could be on his way to Championship rivals Derby.The 25-year-old midfielder has been regularly linked with a move away from Bramall Lane this summer with some reports suggesting Premier League new boys West Brom could also be interested.

But the Blades boss insists Tonge is a key part of his plans and told BBC Radio Sheffield: "Many of my players have been linked with other clubs, but more often than not it has not come to anything.

"Often agents tout their players around, but I can honestly say there is nothing in this one, Michael is staying put."
