Barcelona have reached an agreement in principal to sell midfielder Marc Crosas to Celtic for a transfer fee which could rise to £1.1million.The young midfielder announced last week that the Scottish champions and Primera Liga side Sevilla were both interested in his services.
A loan move to Scotland was reported to be on the cards, but Barca revealed on Wednesday they had reached an initial agreement with Celtic for a permanent transfer worth a possible 1.4million euros.
A statement on the Barcelona website read: "FC Barcelona will receive half a million euros plus an extra 900,000 euros depending on the number of appearances made by the player, classification for the Champions League and any titles won.
"Furthermore, FC Barcelona will receive 25 per cent of any possible future transfer as well as retaining the option to buy the player back at the end of the 2009/10 season for 2million euros."
As yet Celtic have not confirmed the deal.

I firmly believe that this and the Tamas transfer have been manufactured by the players agent's I don't think that either of these players either intended or intend to sign for us. The agents are using these proposed transfers to raise the profile of the players and a long and protracted transfer saga give supposedly larger clubs the opportunity to run their thumbs over the players and perhaps put in a bid themselves. Agents are the worst thing to ever happen to the beautiful game.
You read in the daily papers that marc crosas is not coming to celtic after all funny enough this is the morning after the whoppers from the west end of glasgow are no longer in europe and obviously on there display,would presumably see this as a waste of money.I mean on that display it will be a wonder celtic need to spend any well earned money from the last season because gers yet again will not be challenging for the s.p.l. this season either,sit back fellow celtic fans and gordon strachan as we all know the title will be retained by christmas and rangers might just win the puppet cup sorry league cup as that is about the best they can do,so to finish rangers are skint will be in the red if not already and i do not mean by embarresment out of europe before league starts and do not have half a side that may be lucky to end the season in 3rd spot once again sit back and enjoy and do not worry about new signings. p.s.always look on the bright side of life and enjoy singing no huns in europe as we unfurrel the league flag in unison,our day has come alright.
