Nottingham Forest boss Colin Calderwood is backing new signing Robert Earnshaw to spearhead Forest's Championship campaign. The £2.65million summer signing from Derby has impressed the Forest boss throughout pre-season, and Calderwood expects him to play a pivotal role this season.
Calderwood told the Evening Post: "Robert has been a model pro. He has been far, far better than we had hoped and we can see a fruitful partnership for him with any of the boys.
"We will have to be more clinical with our chances, which will be fewer in number this season.
"But you can see the quality of our crossing and finishing has improved, and the coolness of Robert's finish for his second goal against Notts County typified what we will need."

why not see if gazza and peter beadsley will play for forest next season too!!!!!
well at least he gets goals
If your wanting to pin your hopes on earnshaw to pull you through the season you've got no hope .. he was @#$% for us and if you look properly at his for for his other teams his shot ratios and where his goals were scored from , he relies more on the full team to support him rather than the other way round ... he will shrink away within the first 5 games .. if im wrong i will come back on and apologise .
yeah yeah VERDICT Nothingham forest again
^^^^^^^^^^ rambo
awesome signing by Forest. hopefully Earnshaw will give them the goals they need to stay up and improve still further. There HAS to be 4 teams worse than them
