Foxes seeking Dickov return

Wed 06 Aug, 01:15 PM

Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric has confirmed the club are in talks with former striker Paul Dickov in a bid to bring him back to the club. The veteran forward was released by Manchester City in July and despite interest from MLS side Toronto FC and Blackpool, the Foxes look favourites to clinch his signature.

"He would be a good addition to the club with his experience, character and past here," Mandaric told Radio Leicester.

"There is a very positive dialogue. I guess we need another day before we can be more positive but I'm hopeful that we can bring Paul here."

Meanwhile, Derby have rubbished rumours suggesting Robbie Savage is on the verge of re-joining the Foxes.

A Rams spokesman dismissed Mandaric's recent claims that the club were considering a move for the 33-year-old midfielder.
