Plymouth Argyle midfielder Jason Puncheon is determined to prove himself as one of the Championship's top players this season. The 22-year-old joined the Pilgrims from League Two side Barnet for £250,000 at the start of the summer.
Paul Sturrock's side entertain Wolves in their opening Championship game on Saturday and Puncheon is relishing the challenge of establishing himself in the first-team.
"I want to make a name for myself and for the fans," he told the club's official website.
"I do think about it (starting against Wolves) but I am sure the management will make their decision and hopefully I am in the team. If I am not then there is obviously something I need to work on.
"I have come here to play and I will be disappointed if I am not involved. I am not a player who will be happy to sit on the bench."
