Derby have rubbished rumours from Leicester chief Milan Mandaric suggesting Robbie Savage is on the verge of rejoining his former club.A Rams spokesman dismissed Mandaric's recent claims that the club were considering a move for the 33-year-old midfielder.
Mandaric had told BBC Radio Leicester: "His name was mentioned but we've got to look at the make-up of the team.
"We'll look at whether we need an additional player like Robbie and make a decision at that time."

hes like the Paul McShane of Derby
This is what Savage said on his move to Derby:
Robbie Savage has accused relegation rivals Sunderland of blowing their chance of Premier League survival after completing his move to Derby.Savage was openly courted by Black Cats boss Roy Keane but the Welshman insists he decided to sign for the rock-bottom Rams because Paul Jewell was more eager to secure his services.
Savage said: "The chairman and manager wanted me more than any other club and that means a lot to me.
"It's well known that Sunderland put in a bid for me but I never really felt that they were too keen.
"If I was them, I would have gone the whole hog to get me because I'm the type of player who can keep a team in the Premier League.
"But after speaking to Paul and the chairman I knew Derby wanted me more. I'm excited about the challenge and I'm looking forward to my long-term future here."
Haha, Look who stayed up, Sunderland.
Jabanocky.. ur so stupid..
Wrong support?? best supporters last season in the Uk aside from hubernian..
Wrong manager?? Som1 who is prooved to get results in this league.. he cant be held responible for last season by any means.. look.. the results improoved even without the win..
They are a new squad.. give them 4 games to be fully settled.. then they will be back to winning form at long last.
don't blame savage for todays performance ,instead praise donny they wanted it more, jewell now has no excuse and will be gone by november
Well Neil Dickinson you're probably right, he'd do ok in Div 1. We saw again today that he certainly isn't Championship material and is never going to be a Rams legend. I'd pay his bus fare back to Leicester if they'll have him.
NOT MATTER WHO YOU HAD IN THE DERBY TEAM THEY WERE ALL WASTED SPACE AND THE COMNG SEASON WILL BE NO CHANGE....WRONG MANAGER, WRONG SUPPORT, WRONG PLACE ON THE MAP.
SAVAGE WAS JUST IN THE WRONG TEAM AT THE WRONG TIME, STILL A GOOD PLAYER BUT NEEDS THE TEAM TO PLAY IN.....DERBY WAS NOT THAT TEAM FROM THE MANAGER THROUGH TO THE PERSON WHO TURNS THE FLOOD LIGHTS ON. LIGHTS OUT THIS SEASON.
Savage was and still is a Leicester Legend, we will have him back in a shot
£26k a week! What a waste(er). The guy is past it and is only interested in the dosh whoever is paying. He's wound the Rams fans up playing on our side even more than he did when playing against us and that took some doing! If we can find anyone who'll take him then let him go for zero. Lets get some guys who WANT to wear the shirt. COME ON YOU RAMS.
it about time he left the club he take the pis.......he never mixed with players only himself, wonder why we let in to many goal ,so hope he goes somewere hes wanted hpoe we do well this time go back were we belong
Please Please Please go back to leicester , you have been bloody useless one of the worst buys we ever made .... hated him when he was at other clubs hate him even more now we've got him.
we dont want this t w at. He wasnt ever that good but he's certainly alot worse now.
