Stefanovic keen to fly Canaries nest

Norwich manager Bryan Gunn has confirmed that defender Dejan Stefanovic is looking to leave Carrow Road.

The defender missed the majority of last season with a serious knee injury but is under contract for the coming League One season.

Gunn told the club's official website: "We are in negotiations with Dejan and his representative regarding the settlement of his contract.

"He's indicated that he would like to pursue other options which may be available to him and look to settle back in the south of the country.

"He continues to train with us which gives him an opportunity to overcome his injury."

  2. Agree with you both... we have looked after him through his injury and is already aware of the canaries financial situation. He should do the honorable thing and leave for free if he alreadfy has a job to go to, as it would appear.. good player but we have a decent enough backline to not miss him too much this season...

  3. couldn't agree more but sadly in these days the players and agents have all of the power and there is no loyalty to club or fans (in most cases)

  4. He shouldn;t get a pay off just have his contract cancelled as he has been paid for 7 months while injuried, not played in any pre-season games and possibly already got another club intrested in signing him, so he should do the right thing and leave without any money to help the club out as they have done for him
