Cardiff Blues received a boost ahead of the Heineken Cup when British and Irish Lions star Jamie Roberts was given the all-clear after a worrying neck injury.
Wales centre Roberts (pictured) sustained a head injury in a clash with Scarlets wing Sean Lamont last week and sat out the Blues 21-15 home defeat to Glasgow.
But Roberts confirmed that he has been given the all clear for the visit of Harlequins on Saturday.
I've had a couple of scans on my neck and the spinal surgeon has given me the all-clear, 22-year-old Roberts said on the ERC website.
"He advised me not to play this weekend but I will start contact work early this week and I will be fit for Harlequins.
"When it happened, I was massively worried and it was a scary moment because it felt quite serious.
"You hear all about the horrific neck injuries that players pick up in simple and innocuous tackles and I hardly slept last Saturday.
"I went to hospital straight after the game for an x-ray but I was still in absolute agony at seven o'clock on the Sunday morning - moving my neck was a joke and extremely painful.
"I hoped it wasn't a fracture and fortunately the scans showed it was just muscular. I'm very fortunate I'm okay and counting myself lucky."
Roberts's return to fitness will significantly strengthen a Blues side without Martyn Williams, Gethin Jenkins, Xavier Rush and Ma'ama Molitika for the clash at Cardiff City Stadium.

Im glad it was only a muscular injury that did not require surgery, Jamie Roberts is a very commited impact player with a good rugby brain. I wish him all the best and hope his recovery is a very speedy one
