Three goals in five minutes late in the game gave a strong Derby side a 4-1 friendly victory over non-League neighbours Ilkeston Town at the New Manor Ground.
The match was part of the deal that took Ben Pringle from Ilkeston to Derby in the summer, and the young midfielder captained the Rams on Monday night.
Ilkeston, who play in Blue Square North, took the lead before Gary Teale equalised to send the teams in level at the break. Substitute Henrik Ojamaa put Derby ahead seven minutes from time before Aleksander Prijovic and Arnaud Mendy quickly added further goals.
Seven of the Rams team that started the 3-0 Championship victory over Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend lined up and there was a place on the right-side of midfield for Australia international Ruben Zadkovich, who is on his way back after a lengthy spell out with a groin injury.
The rest of the first-team squad watched from the stands including skipper Robbie Savage, Lee Croft, Rob Hulse and Shaun Barker.
There was a minute's applause before kick-off in memory of former Derby defender Geoff Barrowcliffe, who died recently, aged 77. He also played for Ilkeston.
