Walcott set for Ricoh start

Coventry fans could get the chance to see Theo Walcott this Friday after the Arsenal winger was drafted into Stuart Pearce's England Under-21 squad for the clash against Macedonia at the Ricoh Arena.

Walcott, who was overlooked for senior duty due to a lack of match fitness following his recent return from a side strain, replaces Sunderland's Lee Cattermole who has a heel problem.

Chelsea defender Sam Hutchinson was injured in his side's reserve defeat to Arsenal on Monday night and will also not join up with the squad, but Pearce still has a wealth of talent within his ranks including Micah Richards, Fabrice Muamba and Jack Wilshere.

Coventry's on-loan midfielder Jack Cork is also in the squad for the 2011 European Championship qualifier.

  1. OK, we just get walcott back to the first team, regaining full fitness and peace wants to risk walcotts future again, by putting him the u21s. Shocking cant wait till walcott is ineligable to play for them tbh.
