Champions League - UEFA may punish Unirea

Romanian club Unirea Urziceni could face disciplinary action for the poor organisation of their Champions League match against Rangers, UEFA have said.

The European governing body also said that Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb have appealed against a three-point deduction in the Europa League.

UEFA said that it had opened disciplinary proceedings against Unirea over "spectator entry procedures" at Wednesday's match in Bucharest which ended in a 1-1 draw.

The Scottish club have already been charged with improper conduct by their fans in the Group G match.

Television pictures showed Rangers fans clashing with police who used CS gas to try to control the situation.

UEFA said it would deal with the case at its disciplinary committee meeting on November 12.

Zagreb appeal's came after they were deducted three points in Europa League Group A following crowd trouble during their match away to Timisoara on October 1.

They were also ordered to play their next two home games in the competition behind closed doors because of the behaviour of their fans during the 3-0 win over the Romanian team.

The decision left them point-less and sent them to the bottom of the group.

Dinamo's problems continued on Wednesday when they lost 2-0 at home to Ajax and had two players sent off.
