International Football - Sanchez Prette suspended

Newell's Old Boys midfielder Cristian Sanchez Prette has been suspended for five matches for a tackle that could end the World Cup hopes of Racing Club defender Marcos Caceres.
The Argentine Football Association announced the ban for the tackle during Newell's 1-0 win over Racing last week, which left the Paraguay defender with damaged left knee ligaments and could keep him out for eight months.
The World Cup in South Africa, with Paraguay taking part in their fourth consecutive finals, begins on June 11, 2010.
