Second-placed Real Madrid will be missing Spain central defender Raul Albiol for Saturday's match at city rivals Atletico Madrid after their appeal against his red card in last weekend's Getafe match was rejected.
Defenders Pepe and Ezequiel Garay and midfielder Guti returned to full training on Thursday and should be available to coach Manuel Pellegrini. Forward Cristiano Ronaldo needs two more weeks to recover from an ankle injury.
Atletico's Argentina striker Sergio Aguero is feeling in good fettle ahead of the match at the Calderon after scoring both goals in Tuesday's battling Champions League draw against Chelsea.
"I am coming into the derby on good form," Aguero said on the club's website.
Atletico are in 18th place with just one win in nine matches this term.
Pep Guardiola's Barcelona side did not train on Thursday after their long flight back from Kazan following Wednesday's 0-0 Champions League draw with Russian club Rubin was delayed by two hours.
Barca top the standings on 23 points, one ahead of Real and four ahead of Sevilla in third. Guardiola has a full squad available for Saturday's home match against fifth-placed Mallorca with the exception of injured defender Gabriel Milito.
Mallorca will try to restrict the space and stop Barca from playing their customary brand of possession football, their coach Gregorio Manzano said.
"We have to put in some solid defensive work and try to prevent the match from opening up from the start," he said on the club's website. "We need to take our chances and use our ability to surprise them."
Sevilla midfielder Aldo Duscher picked up a muscle strain in Wednesday's 1-1 Champions League draw with VfB Stuttgart that put the club through to the knockout round with two matches to spare and will be out for several weeks, the club said.
Striker Frederic Kanoute trained as normal on Thursday and should be available for Sunday's match against visiting Villarreal, but defender Ivica Dragutinovic limped out of training and is doubtful, the club said on their website.
Villarreal striker Joseba Llorente will miss the Sevilla match after he injured his ankle in Thursday's 4-1 Europa League win over Lazio, the club said on their website.
First-choice goalkeeper Diego Lopez is a doubt after a muscle injury forced him off in the 52nd minute and he was replaced by Javier Oliva.
