SPL - Team news: Zemmama should be fit

PA Sport - Fri, 06 Nov 15:08:00 2009

All the team news ahead of this weekend's action in the Scottish Premier League.

2009-10 SPL Hibs Merouane Zemmama - 0

Aberdeen v St Johnstone

Aberdeen will be without teenager Fraser Fyvie for up to six weeks after he suffered ankle ligament damage against Hibernian.

St Johnstone have doubts over Steven Anderson and Collin Samuel for the trip to Aberdeen. Defender Anderson has a toe injury, while striker Samuel is struggling with a knock to the knee. Stuart McCaffrey (groin), Steven Milne (ankle) and Euan McLean (ankle) are out.

Hamilton v Motherwell

Hamilton captain Alex Neil is still not fit to make his first start of the season, while Derek Lyle and James Gibson both remain on the sidelines with knee problems and striker Gary Gow is out with a broken elbow.

Stevie Hammell has been ruled out of the Lanarkshire derby at Hamilton with a hamstring strain, while Paul Slane is still sidelined with a calf problem.

Hearts v Hibernian (12.30)

Hibernian expect playmaker Merouane Zemmama to shake off a groin injury and he is the only real injury concern.

Hearts will be without Eggert Jonsson due to suspension, while Marius Zaliukas (ankle), Suso Santana (hernia), Laryea Kingston (hamstring), Callum Elliot (knee) and David Templeton (foot) are injured.

Kilmarnock v Dundee United

On-loan goalkeeper Mark Brown is available for Kilmarnock after being unable to feature against parent club Celtic, but Jim Jefferies could stick with Cameron Bell who did well against the Bhoys. Striker Allan Russell is back in training after breaking his hand but the game may come too soon for him.

Dundee United striker Francisco Sandaza faces another six weeks on the sidelines after being told he needs groin surgery.

Rangers v St Mirren

Danny Wilson is set to make his SPL debut, with Madjid Buogherra having been ruled out through injury.

Kyle Lafferty and Steven Smith have been ruled out through food poisoning, while Maurice Edu, Kirk Broadfoot and Pedro Mendes are injured.

Kevin Thomson and Steven Whittaker have both been passed fit despite minor knocks keeping them out of training on Friday.

The fact Wilson is preparing to play again in Bougherra's absence isn't a worry for manager Walter Smith after a fantastic week for the centre back.

He has impressed against Dundee, Dundee United and Unirea in his first three senior outings and is being tipped by many to have a bright future ahead of him.
