Gillingham are set to hand a debut to new signing Febian Brandy when they host Southend in the first round of the FA Cup.
Brandy arrived on a three-month loan from Manchester United on Thursday and will go straight into Mark Stimson's squad for the game at Priestfield.
Fellow forward Mark McCammon could be named among the substitutes after he shook off a hamstring strain to complete 90 minutes for the reserves in midweek.
But Stimson remains without long-term absentees Danny Jackman (shoulder) and Simon King (ankle ligaments), with both men still at least two months away from a return.
Gillingham faced Southend in their last league game and will be looking to avenge the 1-0 defeat they suffered at Roots Hall.
