McCArthy ready for Gunners

Fri, 06 Nov 14:07:09 2009

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy will have no regrets whatever the outcome of the Barclays Premier League clash with Arsenal.

He is determined to adopt an attacking approach at home against Arsene Wenger's free-scoring team.

The former Republic of Ireland manager said: "I won't be sat here on Saturday complaining 'we didn't have a go at them'.

"I won't be sat with a beer in my hand thinking 'we just let them just roll us over and tickle our belly'.

"I watched AZ Alkmaar at Arsenal, a fellow Champions League team, who over the last few years have won their league, have been fabulous and have some great footballers in there.

"Yet they got slapped completely when playing one up front, sitting back. They got played through, round, over, they just got mullered completely. We will try and play on the front foot."

  2. I think that McCarthy is lying about playing attacking football today. I think that he will be playing 11 behind the ball. He is just trying to lure Arsenal into thinking that there will be a free-flowing game today. That said, though, he is much wiser than Harry Redknapp and Robbie Keane. He does not want to get Arsenal mad. So he is wisely stroking Arsenal's ego. Better watch out, Arsene and Arsenal!

  3. Quite like the Wolves - however, I think the Gunners are on fire and there is a big score due. Sorry Wolves fans but you will have to get your points elsewhere - 3 maybe 4 -1 to Arsene's men.

Lynny and 'The Rogmeister' are going to celebrate by buying the Arsenal 'Electric Toaster' from the Armoury -
GET ONE and start your day off with a Gooner smile at breakfast (not an add, just a good idea for 24/7 fans).

  6. Lot of time for Mick MaC, his teams play the game. At least he is aware of the way the Goooooners play. Think back a week to Harry's men talking the talk but when it came to walking the walk they were sadly lacking. As a Goooooner I expect the Arsenal to win, they will however know the were in a game. If the Wolves stay honest they can survive in the Premiership.
