Internazionale brushed aside struggling Lazio with an easy 3-0 victory to maintain their three-point lead over closest rivals Roma.
Roberto Mancini's side produced a stylish display with Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic opening the scoring with a well-taken penalty before Maicon added a second to give the Nerazzurri a two-goal lead at the break.
David Suazo, handed a start by Mancini alongside Ibrahimovic, justified his selection by netting his third goal of the season on 55 minutes to wrap up the win.
Rodrigo Taddei's brace handed Roma a comfortable 2-0 victory over Cagliari.
The Brazilian midfielder opened the scoring at the Stadio Olimpico on 28 minutes before adding his second eight minutes later.
Although Roma dominated the game for an hour, Cagliari did have their chances to equalise but failed to take advantage and left the Italian capital empty handed.
