Bristol City boss Gary Johnson has revealed he has received requests from 20 clubs to take striker Steve Brooker on loan.Brooker is edging nearer to his first taste of football after recovering from a knee operation which has kept him on the sidelines so far this season.
The 26-year-old has played in four reserve-team matches with a further game scheduled for Tuesday against Cheltenham, who were confirmed by Johnson as one of the interested clubs.
"There is a lot of interest in Brooks. We have had loan bids from 20 clubs," Johnson told the City's official website.
"I will sit down and discuss it with Brooks. If we both feel it is right then we will let him go out on loan for a short time to build up some match fitness."
