Crystal Palace goalkeeper Scott Flinders is hoping to be granted a loan move in order to gain some first-team experience. The 21-year-old was given his chance with a rare start ahead of regular stopper Julian Speroni in the FA Cup on Saturday, but after the Eagles suffered a 2-0 defeat to Championship rivals Watford, Flinders is hoping manager Neil Warnock will allow him a move away from Selhurst Park.
He told Your Local Guardian: "It looks as if I won't be getting a game in the league because Jules is doing really well so it would have been nice to have a cup run but obviously it's been cut short.
"I'm hoping something can get sorted in the next couple of days where I can speak to the manager and try and get out somewhere on loan.
"I want to be playing games until the end of the season.
"As a goalkeeper you need to be playing games to gain experience, you don't get experience playing reserve games."
