Stoke boss Tony Pulis has confirmed the Potters are on the brink of bringing Derby defender Andy Griffin back to the Britannia Stadium. The 28-year-old started his career at City and returned to the club last season to play 35 games under Pulis while on loan from Portsmouth.
The lure of playing in the Premier League saw Griffin join the Rams last summer but he is now set to return to the Potteries after falling out of favour at Pride Park.
"Andy did exceptionally well here," said Pulis.
"He was well liked by the supporters and the players and he will bring a bit more quality to the squad."
