Nottingham Forest defender Kelvin Wilson maintains his innocence despite having the appeal against his New Year's Day red card turned down.Wilson was dismissed after a seemingly innocuous challenge on Malvin Kamara during Forest's 2-1 victory over Huddersfield but still believes referee Anthony Taylor 'made a mistake.'
"The referee told me I had pushed him but I don't know how I could have if he was behind me and it still confuses me how he gave a penalty and a red card," Wilson told the club's official website.
"I think he realised at the time he got it wrong and when I went up to him immediately afterwards I could see he knew he'd made a mistake."
Wilson will now miss Saturday's home game with Leyton Orient with a one-match ban.
