David Beckham thinks Fabio Capello will bring a fear to the England camp that will inspire his charges to success on the pitch.

"[Capello] has an aura that players will enjoy," Beckham told Sky Sports.

"They are going to enjoy playing under him. I enjoyed playing under him, even in the bad times. There were ups and downs - and I said at the time it was higher than him, the things that were going on [at Real].

"Apart from Sir Alex Ferguson, I have never seen anyone so dedicated to watching football and learning about it," he continued.

"He will do it his way - and that is a good thing."

One thing Beckham thinks the Italian will bring to England is his ability to command respect and to get the best out of his players with an old-fashioned iron fist.

"We had the fear factor the year we won La Liga," he claimed. "That is what all great managers have.

"The fear factor with a manager is important. We had it at Manchester United with Sir Alex Ferguson, and he had so much success and is still having it."

Beckham intends to be fit and playing in England's friendly against Switzerland in February to earn his 100th international cap.

The LA Galaxy midfielder is back in England for the American close-season, training with Arsenal to maintain his fitness for his former Real Madrid boss Capello's first game in charge of the national team.

"I'm there to get my fitness for the MLS season and also to try to get fit for the England game," Beckham said at a Football Writers' Association dinner.

"Even if it wasn't just for the 100th cap, for an England game I'd do the same. I want to be fit and be available for Mr Capello's first team and first game."
