Bradford boss Stuart McCall believes Sheffield United's Nicky Law will continue to make progress at Valley Parade after he extended the midfielder's loan spell.

McCall is also hoping to extend the stay of Burnley striker Steve Jones, while young midfielder Luke Sharry is set to join Barrow on a month's loan on Friday.

He told the Telegraph & Argus: "We've seen Nicky get better and better. He just needed to play as regularly as possible, which he is doing with us.

"He is a good footballer with great energy and glides with the ball. I always tell my players that if there's grass in front of you, drive into it to commit people and Nicky loves doing that.

"You don't get many central midfielders who like to take people on in the middle of the park but Nicky really uses his strengths to run with the ball.

"He can play on the left or right, not as an out-and-out winger but somebody who cuts in, and has got a good goalscoring record with Sheffield United reserves. Hopefully he can contribute by chipping in with a few more for us this season."
