Manager Gary Megson is keen to have a look at the 31-year-old who is now a free agent after being released by Palmeiras.

Denilson became the world's most expensive player when he moved to Betis from Sao Paulo in 1998 for £21.5 million.

He spent seven seasons in Spain then travelled the globe with spells at clubs as diverse as Al Nasr and FC Dallas. He has collected 68 caps for his country and was part of the Brazil squad which won the 2002 World Cup.

  4. Hang on, you have to ask yourself why has he been playing for teams like Al Nasr and FC Dallas????

  5. This guy is exectionally talented! i remember him coming on in the 2002 world cup game against Turkey...made a show of the turkish defence! Problem is the guy doesnt know how to pass the ball, and i think its a bit late to teach him that now! But who knows, be interesting to see him in the PL, certainy add some spice to an otherwise bland bolton side (although i do have respect for their spirit and grit).
