A brief look at the action from around the globe during the latest round of friendly internationals.
US 2-2 Mexico
Defender Jonny Magallon (pictured) scored both Mexico goals to help the visitors rally twice for a 2-2 draw against the United States.
Oguchi Onyewu put the hosts ahead on the half hour when he capitalised on some hesitant defending from his own throw-in to head home the opener.
Six minutes later, Hugo Sanchez's youthful side had drawn level when Magallon, who had never scored in his previous 22 appearances, slid in at the back post to meet a Pavel Pardo cross and drove the ball into the net off the underside of the bar.
The US, featuring several of their European-based players, were looking lively and restored their lead four minutes before the interval with Jozy Altidore's first goal for his country.
In his first start, Altidore headed confidently past Mexico keeper Guillermo Ochoa after meeting a cross from deep by Drew Moor.
A minute later Clint Dempsey looked to have given the US a two-goal lead with a superb strike from outside the area, but his effort was inexplicably ruled out for offside.
That proved to be a vital decision as Magallon struck three minutes after the interval - again left unmarked at the back post - when he slid in on substitute Carlos Salcido's flick-on from a corner to make it 2-2.
Despite plenty of urging from a passionate and pro-Mexico crowd of 70,000 at the Reliant Stadium, neither side could find a winning goal.
Bolivia 2-1 Peru
Ricardo Pedriel and Leonel Reyes nabbed goals to give Bolivia a well-deserved 2-1 victory over Peru.
Bolivia were unlucky not to extend the scoreline when a Joaquim Botero effort was ruled narrowly offside.
Miguel Cevasco grabbed a consolation goal for Peru, who appeared sluggish despite the presence of Chelsea's Claudio Pizarro and PSV Endhoven's Jeferson Farfan.
Both Andean nations were trying to step up their preparations for the South American qualifying games for the 2010 World Cup.
Bolivia next meet Chile at home on June 14, while Peru play Colombia at home on the same day in the marathon South American World Cup qualifying tournament.
Bolivia are bottom of the 10-team qualifying group with one point from four games, while Peru are second from bottom with two points from the same number of games.
Uruguay 2-2 Colombia
Uruguay scored two late goals to deny Colombia a morale-boosting win, Luis Suarez snatching an 86th minute equaliser in a 2-2 draw.
Striker Edison Perea scored a goal in each half to put Colombia in the driving seat.
There was a touch of fortune when Perea benefited from a favourable bounce to open the scoring but his second-half effort was a magnificent angled shot.
However, Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez's decision to replace the ineffective Diego Forlan with Edinson Cavani changed the complexion of the game.
The young striker made an immediate impact by firing past Colombian goalkeeper Agustin Julio. Cavani almost equalised soon after before Suarez then burst through the Colombia defence and side-stepped Julio to slot in a late equaliser.
The game was a part of the teams' preparations for the next round of South American 2010 World Cup qualifiers, beginning in June.
Jamaica 1-1 Costa Rica
Tyrone Marshall scored an 88th minute equaliser to earn Jamaica a 1-1 draw with Costa Rica at the National Stadium.
Following an uneventful first half, substitute William Sunsing put Costa Rica ahead against the run of play in the 78th minute when he pounced on a loose ball and fired past goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts.
Jamaica and Wigan striker Marlon King and home-based Demar Phillips, both missed several opportunities in the second half.
But with two minutes to go, the crowd of 30,000 erupted when DC United's Marshall rose above two defenders to head a King corner past Costa Rican keeper Ricardo Gonzales, who had produced a number of fine saves to keep the home side at bay.
"It was a good start to our campaign for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa," Jamaica's Brazilian coach Rene Simones said.
"The boys played well and we could have won the game if we had taken those chances."
Jamaica's next match is a friendly against Trinidad and Tobago on March 26, while Costa Rica play Peru on the same day.
Both sides will then enter the second round of the CONCACAF qualifiers for the 2010 World Cup finals.
