Premier League - Cat stops play at Anfield
Liverpool’s Premier League match against Tottenham was brought to an unusual halt by the arrival of a cat on the field of play at Anfield.

The grey and white moggy sauntered on to the pitch 11 minutes into the contest and ran around happily for a minute.
Surging towards the Tottenham goal, the feline played a game of cat and mouse with Spurs keeper Brad Friedel.
The cat did a better job of beating him than Liverpool’s strikers, who drew a blank on the evening in a 0-0 draw.
Strutting off the pitch, the cat looked unsure what to do next – but fortunately the stewards positioned by the corner flag were able to remove it safely from the action.
Little did the cat know, however, that he had rapidly become an internet sensation. More than one spoof Twitter account for the cat had been set up within minutes of the incident, with several thousand followers signing up for updates.
“I officially have more goalscoring opportunities than Andy Carroll this evening,” the ‘cat’ tweeted midway through the first half.
