Bond wants Harry back

Tue, 07 Feb 08:05:35 2012

Tottenham assistant manager Kevin Bond has revealed his side have been missing the presence of manager Harry Redknapp following the 0-0 draw at Liverpool.

Redknapp, currently on trial in London, failed to get to the game after a plane due to take him north from London City airport was grounded because of a technical problem.

And Bond describes his absence as "horrible".

"Harry would normally give the team talk and he was unable to do that," said Bond. "He couldn't get here. But we knew the side and the way we were going to play. It was just a different voice giving the instructions to the players.

"But he is our leader and we wanted him here as much as he wanted to be here.

"It is horrible. We had a similar situation the month before last when we played Fulham and he was unable to be at the game."

  9. What a shame for Harry. He is inside for sure following in the footsteps of Lester Piggott and Ken Dodd. What a shame for Tottenham just when you were getting it right. So what now. Cant leave it to the imbecilic Kevin Bond so a new manager by March. Mourinho at best Mclaren at worst.

  10. If Harry was guilty why would he tell of his bank account in Monaco ? at least he came clean not like the majority of Prem Managers, who wouldn.t disclose their accounts. He gives loads away to charity, don.t forget about the illegal raid to his house when he was abroad, Sandra must have been beside herself.
