Doyle wants to build on win

Striker Kevin Doyle insists Wolves' weekend win at QPR will "count for nothing" if it proves to be a one-off result ahead of Sunday's crucial derby with West Brom at Molineux.

Doyle came off the bench to end Wolves' run of nine Barclays Premier League games without a win with a second-half winner and move Mick McCarthy's side out of the bottom three.

But the Republic of Ireland international knows Wolves need to start picking up points on a regular basis if they are to guarantee a fourth successive season of top-flight football.

Doyle said: "Three points at the weekend was good but will mean nothing if we carry on over the next few weeks and don't get anything.

"We can't let the win at QPR be a one-off. That's the message we've all got to learn.

"There's still a long way to go and we still need more wins."
