Fri 07 Mar, 02:45 PM

Macclesfield manager Keith Alexander is boosted by the return of skipper Terry Dunfield for the trip to Brentford on Saturday afternoon. The midfielder served the second game of a two-match ban during last weekend's 1-1 home draw against Notts County, which was former Lincoln and Peterborough boss Alexander's first game in charge.

However, his return is offset by the loss of Malta international defender Luke Dimech through a suspension of his own.

Alexander will check on the fitness of striker Martin Gritton and on-loan Chester defender Sean Hessey, who both missed missed last week's clash due to knocks.

The new Macc boss is confident he can keep the struggling Silkmen in the Football League.

"We will travel down there confident of taking something from the game," he said.
