Jones hoping for Ledley return

Fri 07 Mar, 02:00 PM

Cardiff boss Dave Jones hopes to welcome back Joe Ledley for Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final clash with Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.Ledley has been missing since limping off in last month's 0-0 draw at Coventry with a hamstring problem but has returned to training and should be in contention for the trip to Teesside if he suffers no reaction.

Jones is likely to retain experienced duo Riccardo Scimeca and Trevor Sinclair in his starting line-up after the pair impressed on their first starts since returning from injury in the 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace on Tuesday.

Gavin Rae and teenager Aaron Ramsey were the men to make way in midweek and they will hope for a recall to City's starting XI after coming on as substitutes against the Eagles.

Striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is likely to return to face his former club after being an unused substitute in midweek, with Steven Thompson the most likely candidate to make way.

Long-term absentees Robbie Fowler (hip) and Warren Feeney (ankle) will again be sidelined.
