McMahon in charge for Millers clash

Fri 07 Mar, 04:45 PM

Shrewsbury caretaker manager John McMahon replaces the departed Gary Peters and could make changes for the visit of Rotherham to New Meadow. The Shrews have taken just six points from their last 12 matches, with last weekend's 4-1 defeat to Barnet leading to Peters leaving the club by mutual consent earlier in the week.

McMahon has the luxury of a fully-fit squad to choose from and has no suspension worries.

Colin Murdock and Dave Hibbert could both return to the starting line-up after being named as substitutes last week following one-game suspensions.

Striker Andy Cooke did not travel last week despite recovering from a leg injury but he is again in contention to face the Millers.

Skipper Ben Davies should retain his place in midfield after returning last weekend following a hamstring injury, while Marc Tierney, Darren Moss and James Meredith could revert to more familiar roles.
