Fri 07 Mar, 03:00 PM

West Brom boss Tony Mowbray has revealed his disappointment after learning Portuguese midfielder Filipe Teixeira could face six months out.The 27-year-old limped out of Saturday's win over Plymouth and initial scans have shown that he suffered cruciate ligament damage in his left knee.

"We're obviously really disappointed for Filipe," Mowbray told the club's official website.

"He is going to travel back to Portugal to get a second opinion but it looks like he will need reconstruction surgery.

"He's expected to be out for a minimum of six months and it's a big loss to the football club.

"We'll now try to make his rehab go as smoothly as possible."
