Sheffield Wednesday will be without banned duo Jermaine Johnson and Adam Bolder for their home clash with QPR but Franck Songo'o could debut.Winger Johnson will start a four-match ban following his second dismissal of the season against West Brom in midweek, while on-loan QPR midfielder Bolder serves a two-game ban under the totting-up procedure.
Songo'o should be in the squad, though, after joining on a month's loan from Portsmouth. The winger could even start at Hillsborough if Wade Small fails a late fitness test on the hip injury that ruled him out on Tuesday.
Defender Peter Gilbert (groin) is another doubt for Brian Laws but Ronnie Wallwork is hoping to return to the starting line-up in place of Bolder, while Sean McAllister provides another option.
Long-term absentees Francis Jeffers, Frank Simek (both ankle) and Steve Watson (hamstring) all returned to action in a midweek practice game, but are not expected to return at this stage.
Skipper Lee Bullen (hamstring) and Akpo Sodje (ankle) are still out.
