United set to go with same squad

Fri 07 Mar, 12:45 PM

Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell is likely to name an unchanged squad for Saturday's clash with Plymouth Argyle at Home Park. The Blades boss is still without suspended midfielder Stephen Quinn, who sits out the second of a three-game ban, and on-loan Manchester United winger Lee Martin, who has knee ligament damage.

Blackwell must decide whether to retain winger David Cotterill, on-loan from Wigan, in the starting line-up or recall Keith Gillespie or David Carney, who were both unused substitutes' in midweek at Ipswich.

Jon Stead, Rob Hulse and Luton Shelton offer further options up front, but Blackwell has hinted he is ready to persevere with Billy Sharp alongside leading goalscorer James Beattie.

The Blades are chasing their first win under Blackwell - and their first in nine league matches - as they bid to steer clear of the relegation zone.
