Bennett to miss Pirates clash

Mon 07 Apr, 05:15 PM

Nottingham Forest boss Colin Calderwood looks set to be without Julian Bennett for the visit of Bristol Rovers to the City Ground. The Reds left-back was forced off with a hamstring injury in Saturday's 3-1 win over Cheltenham and while the injury is not thought to be serious it is unlikely the former Walsall defender will be risked.

Calderwood may also opt to employ the same caution with striker Nathan Tyson, who is nearing full fitness following a muscle strain in last week's win at Carlisle.

The game again comes too soon for winger Arron Davies, who continues to be hampered by a hamstring complaint.

Fellow winger Kris Commons will hope to be restored to the side after replacing Bennett as a substitute on his return from injury.

Calderwood could name an otherwise unchanged side as his team attempt to make it three straight wins for the first time this season.
