Darlington boss Dave Penney has questioned the leadership qualities of some of the key members of his Quakers squad.The Quakers are without a win in their last five games and their promotion push has been showing signs of faltering in the latter stages of the season.

Penney has now urged his side to get back to basics after Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Stockport.

"Confidence is low," concedes Penney. "I thought we had enough leaders and characters but maybe we haven't.

"The current situation hurts me. We have to get back to playing to our strengths, which is being hard to beat."
