Dobie hopes to start against Swans

Mon 07 Apr, 05:15 PM

Carlisle striker Scott Dobie will be hoping to earn a starting spot when league leaders Swansea arrive at Brunton Park for their crunch clash.Dobie came off the bench to help turn Saturday's game against Yeovil on its head and may have done enough to prompt manager John Ward to change his starting XI.

Ward, meanwhile, is still without the services of midfield duo Paul Thirlwell and Jeff Smith (both ankle) but both are still expected to return to action before the end of the season.

Midfielder Chris Lumsdon has suffered no ill-effects in recent games despite suffering with a minor foot problem and is set to continue, while long-term absentee striker Joe Garner (knee) remains sidelined.

Victory for Ward's men could move them to within a point of the table-topping Swans.
