Rochdale boss Keith Hill will check on the fitness of Lee Thorpe ahead of the visit of Notts County while Rene Howe could start for Dale.Thorpe picked up a knock during Saturday's 3-1 home win over Grimsby and was replaced in the first half by Howe.

On-loan Peterborough forward Howe went on to score a hat-trick and could now earn a starting berth, regardless of whether Thorpe is passed fit.

Hill has no other concerns as his men seek to further enhance their promotion credentials.

Dale have won their last four games to go sixth in League Two and move closer towards securing a play-off spot.

Assistant boss Dave Flitcroft said: "The games can't come fast enough. The players are brave, they go out there and pass the ball around with a real fluidity."
